Guberlinskoe mountain range is one of the most beautiful places of the Orenburg region. The spot is located in the south-eastern part of the Ural Mountain Chain where the Ural Mountains are not so high. The Guberlinskoe Mountain chain is spread from the North to the South. The most beautiful part of it is a strongly split Western slope. In the east it gradually transfers into the Orsk plain. The territory of the mountains is not that small, that is 400 square kilometres. The summit of the mountains is called Poperechnaya mountain.
Though the Guberlinskoe mountains are not very high (the hight does not exceed 450 meters over the sea level) they are very beautiful, especially against the Orenburg steeps background.
The upper flow of the Guberlia river which starts in the Sara plato in the north-east of the Kuvandyk region, is called Guberlinskoe gorge. The length of the upper flow is about 20 kilometres.
The Guberlinskoe gorge is an interesting natural creation. As a rule the gorges are connected with the mountains and other hills. But this gorge is located at the plato containing rocky nomads' shelters.
